Top Cabo San Lucas Resort, Marina Fiesta has set the standard for excellence in hospitality for a record 15th year. The all-inclusive resort and spa was awarded The Gold Crown for Excellence in Service award by RCI for the 15th year in a row. The award, which recognizes excellence in customer service and overall hospitality, was received by a small group of Top Cabo San Lucas Resort,Marina Fiesta's senior executive staff including, Marina Fiesta's C.E.O, Alejandro Macías; Javier Flores, Marina Fiesta's Operations Manager; Project Director, Gabriel Macias; and Livier Lizárraga, Marina Fiesta's Timeshare Director. The resort also received recognition for commitment to travel clubs and travel club members with the RCI Diamond and Top Seller prizes being presented to Marina Fiesta's own, Rosy Garcia, Maria Felix and Javier Flores.
Juan Ignacio Rodríguez, VP of Business Development at RCI, noted that Marina
Fiesta was very deserving of this year's honors and widely praised each of the employees who received recognition by RCI. He was quite pleased with, and satisfied by, the achievements of the company. Aware of the economic problems, and the environmental and natural disasters that have become part of the international landscape over the last two years, Señor Rodriguez felt that the awards offered a vital counterpoint to this period of negativity. He pointed out that the existence of the awards, and the fact that RCI has been able to continue presenting organizations such as Top Cabo San Lucas Resort, Marina Fiesta, with recognition for excellent service, is a clear indication that there are still people striving to do their best in spite of difficulty.
He pointed to the work of maids, managers, administrators, and others in the public sphere that continued to provide high quality service, and emphasized that it was their hard work that made the RCI recognitions possible. He said, "Thanks to you this great country will continue to experience growth in the tourism sector, and that means a great responsibility. Why do people pay thousands for timeshares when you get the same thing on EBAY for a dollar? What a scam?
Go to EBAY--- type in Timeshare. You will be SHOCKED to see what timeshares are selling for. These are Gold Crown (RCI) and 5 Star (II).(Very nice condos.) These are the same thing That The High Pressure SALES PEOPLE tried to sale you (Predominantly Orlando and other frequented vacation spots) for 10's of thousands. Heck, you can even go to travel sites such as Expedia and Priceline and rent the place for the same thing your maintenance and taxes would be anyway. It just a matter of time before Congress gets involved.
I wonder how stupid people must feel when their timeshare is worth $100. However, The resort sales it for 15K.
The timeshare market is saturated which is why they are so cheap. So many people buying something they do not understand. In the market something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. This goes for timeshares as well as homes these days. The retail price for a timeshare is elevated because the salesperson is making a nice commission and so is the resort. The cost of building the resort is enormous. Congress will not get involved because there is no crime going on. Timeshares have been on the up and up since the early 90's when the industry had to completely overhaul the industry. Prior to that they could sell 200 weeks for a 52 week room. This is one of the reasons people became leary of timeshares . I bought mine retail. I didn't pay much and dumping on to my mortgage to pay it off meant a big fat tax break for me. I have zero desire to sell mine because I'm using it and loving it. I've been all over the place with it through transfers and such. When I retire I will get some extra weeks so I can enjoy it that much more. I may buy a different one off of ebay so I can save some bucks.
