If I have a 6 acre lot and its zone RDD-20 can I build a cabin?
The 20 indicates one dwelling per 20 acres, but whose 20 acres? For instance, if each of 4 neighbors has 5 acres in the RDD-20 zone, can one of them only build a house and who gets to?
Contact your planning commission. Where I live, if you want to put a dwelling on a lot that's zoned that way, they won't allow it to be split into smaller parcels. If it is split, they won't let anyone build on it. Good luck.
